The staff was genuinely friendly and the breakfast had some decent options. Parking was $45 a night, which felt excessive. The room was spacious, but noise from a nearby nightclub made it hard to sleep. They had live music events nearby, which was a fun touch.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The noise from nearby bars can be disruptive at night. They have a nice bar with local beer and live music events. Parking is pricey at $45 a night for valet.

The hotel's central position made it super easy to discover Austin’s remarkable landmarks like the Texas State Cemetery just about 1.4 kilometers away and the O Henry Museum only about 550 meters from my room, and with a pleasant walk, I reached the iconic Congress Avenue Bridge in just under 20 minutes, enabling me to soak in the beauty of the city while walking around the nearby lake area; the breakfast was a delightful surprise with a great variety to kickstart my day. The only downside is that some areas walking back to the hotel felt a bit sketchy, particularly near the Salvation Army, but overall I felt safe during my stay.

The renovations were poorly done; I had a fan blaring in my bathroom, and the shower leaked everywhere. It’s frustrating to pay for a room that’s not ready or comfortable.

Room was beautiful and impeccably clean. The corner suite exceeded expectations—spacious, with stunning views. Breakfast was satisfactory but could benefit from more fruit and a variety of proteins. Staff was friendly and accommodating, especially with our pet. parking fees were outrageous, $45 for one night? The WiFi was embarrassingly slow; I struggled with work calls. Maintenance issues persisted—broken bathroom door, nails coming through the carpet, and ineffective AC that left the room overly humid. Location had its drawbacks. The nearby area felt sketchy, which was unsettling. A lack of housekeeping services was disappointing. For the price paid, improvements are clearly necessary.

Friendly staff, friendly service with helpful recommendations for dining and activities that made my stay more enjoyable and a clean studio that was well-serviced, ensuring a comfortable environment throughout my visit.
Couldn’t fault.

Hyatt House Austin/Downtown offers a prime location near 6th Street and the Capitol. The spacious rooms provided a welcoming atmosphere, making it convenient for families. Though the breakfast options could use improvement, the hotel stands out for its comfort and accessibility to local attractions.

Fantastic location near the vibrant nightlife on 6th Street, but the area has its share of homeless individuals, which might be unsettling for some. Spacious room with a comfy bed, though my initial experience was marred by cleanliness issues. Staff were friendly and helpful, adding a nice touch. Breakfast was good but repetitive over multiple days. The gym was a pleasant surprise—never crowded. Valet parking is pricey, so consider public parking options instead. The bar was a highlight, especially with Sasha's burgers! A mixed bag, but I'd return for the ambiance and accessibility.

The room was large, comfortable, and impeccably clean. The AC worked well, maintaining a pleasant temperature throughout our stay. The bed was cozy, allowing for restful nights. there were only minimal supplies for the foldout sofa bed. No extra blankets or pillows were provided, which was a letdown. Despite some delays during check-in, the staff, particularly Lonnie, were helpful. Noise levels were manageable, and the convenient kitchen was well stocked. Nonetheless, the location required a cautious walk to downtown, particularly at night, which detracted from the experience. A few adjustments could enhance the stay.

The suite is spacious and perfect for spreading out after a long day. Breakfast is a real treat with fresh choices and plenty of seating.
Be ready for some noise from the bar next door.

Lonnie at the front counter treated us like royalty! ! Super helpful and friendly! Breakfast was solid – eggs, fruit salad, and granola bars to go! Outside seating for work meetings was a lifesaver.
Not the most inexpensive place, but worth it for what you get!

Breakfast was satisfying, and the hotel's location was ideal near popular streets. Being close to the university and a bus stop was super convenient. The room and bathroom were spacious and comfy. The laundry room and gym facilities made my extended stay hassle-free. The fire pit and bar were enjoyable additions for relaxation.
The pricing seemed steep for the overall experience, with issues like poor water pressure in the shower and the hassle of valet parking. Noise from nearby bars on weekends could disrupt light sleepers.

Waking up to a hot buffet with omelettes and bacon was a treat! The staff at the H Bar made me feel like a VIP. Front desk gave me great tips to explore the area.
Room renovations made me feel like I was living on a construction site.

The air conditioning worked well, providing a cool escape from the Texas heat. We appreciated having hot tea and coffee available all day. The staff was friendly, and the breakfast was fresh and tasty, with plenty of options. We also enjoyed the pool area, a nice spot to cool off after exploring downtown. there were some areas that could use improvement. The room was not properly prepared for the number of guests we had booked for, and we had to request additional linens. The kitchen sink had a concerning odor, and the bathroom fan was not functioning properly. We were disappointed to find that the sofa bed was not suitable for use and had to accommodate additional guests in one bed. we encountered issues with the valet parking, as the staff seemed unable to accommodate a manual transmission vehicle. The operations manager was unhelpful and rude when we requested a reimbursement for parking ourselves. This experience detracted from an otherwise pleasant stay.

I chose Hyatt House for its proximity to Congress Avenue Bridge and was pleasantly surprised by the free grocery shopping service. The free to-go breakfast at the restaurant was a convenient and enjoyable perk.
Lack of empathy and service mentality.

My stay at this downtown Austin hotel was nothing short of amazing. The staff, from the valet to the front desk, were friendly, caring, and went above and beyond. The location was perfect, with 6th St and the UT Campus just a short walk away. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and I was impressed that they still offered breakfast. The blackout blinds ensured a great night's sleep, and the snacks and drinks downstairs were a nice touch.
Parking was a hassle and I received an unexpected ticket.

The room layout was great, with separate living, kitchen, and bedroom areas. The shower worked perfectly, and the bed was super comfy. Plus, the valet service was top-notch - I loved being able to text for my car, and the attendants were friendly and quick. The breakfast spread was decent, with a good variety of options and convenient hours.
Parking was a nightmare, with confusing street signs and unhelpful staff. The noises from nearby venues were loud at night, disturbing my sleep.

clean rooms - great location close to lower numbered streets without walking far due to a sleazy area - local insight - a bar & grill, and exceptional staff like damont who comped parking and offered food & beverage to make up for a reservation mix-up.
Do recommend.
